Our quality ball bearings meet ABEC 5 standards. They are high speed electric motor grade bearings. The same bearings we have been using in our own business for 6 years without any issues. That is why we have stayed with them. We have installed over 500 of these sets. So we understand why you don't want to do the job twice.
Just so you know we have tried to source American made bearings and seals to no avail. The only real American made bearings we have found are ultra high tech used in aerospace and NASCAR applications. We would be happy to sell you those but they would be about $900 each.
Other companies that sell these washer bearings and say they are "American made" are not telling the whole story.
To "qualify" as "American made" more than 50% of all associated costs have to happen in the United States. They generally buy ABEC grade 1 bearings from China for super cheap (when I say cheap, I'm talking $1.10 a bearing) and then box them here in the states. As long as the box plus any administrative costs are more than the cost of the bearing they can "technically" stamp them "Made in the USA"
So what you end up getting is a super cheap bearing and an expensive box as the box must cost more than the bearing.
Our bearings and seals are the best we can find at a price that we can remain competitive. The fastest washer out there spins at 1500 RPM and our bearings and seals are rated for more than six times that speed and load. The smallest bearing we use is rated for 1740 LBS and the bigger bearings go up to over 4700 LBS. That's more weight than a big family car.
As for our seals we buy them from Taiwan, Germany, Japan and China depending on the size and availability. All our seals are high quality, fully sprung double lip seals and are the same ones we have been using for 6 years on the repairs we do.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
